Art Blakey once said that Jazz has to be “danceable and have the Blues”and in many ways this could be Ben van den Dungen’s general musical motto.
He has been in the jazz scene for some years. He made so far 80 albums and playedaround 4500 concerts in 70 countries. The Ben van den Dungen Quartet contains aspecial combination of musical personality’s. Nothing pretentious, justswinging, right up to date and with a “happy feel”. These characteristics makesthis band so undeniably 100% pure Jazz.

TangoExtremo brings a distinctive flavour to the passion and persuasion of theArgentine tango. Since its inception in 2003, the ensemble has made remarkabledevelopment, making a big impression on both the Dutch as well as the foreignstages. The group has performed in many countries across the world, such asArgentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, China, Russia, Kurdistan, South Africa,Botswana, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Aruba, Curaçao, South Korea and Mexico.In Europe they performed in many countries as well, like Spain, Italy, Ireland,Denmark, Iceland, Greenland, Turkey, Croatia and France.

Thefounder of Nueva Manteca is Jan L. Hartong who started the band in 1983. In the90′s, journalist Raul Rico of the authoritative Latin Beat Magazine, praisedthe group as “Europe’s finest in Latin Jazz”. Many have followed him over theyears, and not without reason. The group belongs to the top of the Latin sceneas can be judged from USA radio playlists which regularly show a top rankingposition for Nueva Manteca’s CD’s.

Vitobrothersis a cinematic music group that aims to make a mix of film and music in asimilar proportion. Behind a big ‘’look-through-screen’’, the Vitobrothers playa live improvised and live written piece of music from arthouse films.Musicians react on the film, and the VJ responds on the music: every play isdifferent and unique. Their music describes itself as epic, colorful, and mixedstyles where improvisation by film is an importantpart.
