He studied composition under the tutelage of Dr. Patrick Riley, has been commissioned by “The Great River Strings” and “From Age to Age”, and his works have been performed by high school, college, community, and professional ensembles. His music has been performed at various conventions; including, those for the Minnesota American Choral Directors Association, and the Iowa Choral Directors Association.

Joshua's music is beloved by audiences across MN and the upper-Midwest. His music fuses many styles and techniques; Ancient chant, Medieval organum, Russian orthodox liturgy, and the shimmering harmonies of modern choral music.
