Josefina Vavrecka began her musical studies in 1986, at the age of 5 years at the Collegium Musicum in Buenos Aires.
Until the age of 12 she continues to learn in that institution recorder, audio perception, corporal expression and choir. She performs with the Choir Of Children of Collegium Musicum, with the direction of Edith Raspo de Vanasco, in several theaters such as the Teatro General San Martín and Teatro Roma de Avellaneda and participates in the recording of the album "Tesoro" with the singer-songwriter León Gieco.
Academic training
She entered the Superior Music Conservatory "Manuel de Falla" at the age of 12, of which she graduated as a Music Education Teacher in 2003 and as a Superior Teacher of Music in Arts with a specialty in Recorder in 2016. She studied singing at the Superior Conservatory of Music "Manuel de Falla" with Rosana Alesio and at the Popular Music School of Avellaneda with Professor Claudio Broccoli. Study vocal technique with Camila Lorenzo from 2004 to 2009.
Vocal training in jazz
She investigates other styles and repertoires with the teacher Marta Bellomo: jazz, soul, blues. She also takes vocal jazz classes with teacher Guadalupe Raventos. Performs Jazz Improvisation Courses with Guillermo Romero (Initial and Advanced) in 2008 and 2009. She is selected in the Singing Workshops within the framework of the International Buenos Aires Jazz Festival in 2011, 2012, 2013, dictated by Dominique Eade, Judy Niemak and Darmon Meader (USA).She participates in the Modern Jazz Workshop given by Horacio Matto at the Superior Conservatory of Music "Manuel de Falla" in 2004 making presentations in the "Open Study" cycle at the Intercontinental Hotel, etc. She presents herself as jazz soloist and bossa nova at different social events and hotels such as the Sheraton Libertador Hotel, Intercontinental Hotel, Paseo La Plaza, etc. Since 2013 she has joined the group SLAVODKA (Slavic folk) as recorder player and singer.
She continues to play in music as a singer, recorder player and composer. From the age of 17 she writes her own songs with the accompaniment of the guitar, the piano and the ukulele.
