With his folk guitar style straight from the masters of the genre, a voice that ranges from hoarse and deep to high and ethereal, and his trademark harmonica and egg-shaker, we could almost forget that Johannes is alone on stage, so far do his performances lead us to the land of gold seekers, Great Plains, and Shamans. The success of Johannes's self-produced first album, 'Soft Night', on the Jamendo website in 2004 launched a series of concerts that have continued uninterrupted to this day.

In 2009, he won the Fnac Indétendances self-production award for his second album 'One song one take'. His song 'Ashes turn to gold' featured on the compilation album 'Indétendances 38', which was widely publicized in all Fnac stores. After a series of concerts at the Bus Palladium in Paris, his song 'Shaman Dance' featured in the 'Le Bus Palladium by Cyril Bodin' compilation (Universal).

Johannes has played throughout France with Yaël Naïm, Moriarty, Elliott Murphy, Amen Birdmen, Ali Harter, Leadfoot Rivey, Camille Bazbaz and many other great musicians. He is currently recording his third album, with music arranger Denis Clavaizolle.

Avec son jeu de guitare folk qui emprunte aux grands maîtres du genre, sa voix tantôt profonde et légèrement éraillée, tantôt claire et éthérée, son harmonica et son œuf shaker pour soutenir les passages les plus relevés, l'on oublierait presque, parfois, que Johannes est bel et bien seul à jouer, tant ses performances nous emmènent loin, au pays des chercheurs d'or, des grandes plaines et des cha...manes.

En 2004 Johannes autoproduit son premier album, "Soft night", dont le succès prometteur sur la toile marque l'origine d'une série de concerts ininterrompue depuis lors.

En 2009 il enregistre son deuxième album "One song one take ", et remporte les Fnac Indétendances 2009 en autoproduction. A la clé, le titre "Ashes turn to gold" sur la compile Indétendances n°38 et une visibilité de l'album dans les réseaux FNAC.

En 2010, la chanson "Shaman Dance" apparaît dans la compilation "Le Bus Palladium by Cyril Bodin" (Universal).

En 2011, après avoir sillonné Paris et d'autres contrées aux côtés de Moriarty, Camille Bazbaz, Balimurphy, You and You, Amen Birdmen, Brune, Hey Hey my my et bien d'autres, il enregistre une démo de 18 nouveaux titres avec Denis Clavaizolle.
