Randy Travis Country Artist Of The Year 2010, Jeffrey Allen Edwards was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Jeff moved to Myrtle Beach at age 16 and began writing songs. Before he was 21 years old, he was already playing and singing at campfires, in living rooms, porches, and anywhere, anyone would listen. As time went on Jeff’s audience increased, which gave him the encouragement he needed to go farther with his musical talent to sing and play in front of much larger crowds. One of the many stepping stones in the right direction was at Charlie’s Night Life; 3:00 and 4:00 am in the morning, Charlie would let Jeff sit in with the band and things took off from there!

Jeff finally took his songs to the studio and with the help of producers Mike Rogers and Perry Richardson of multi platinum group Firehouse, produced the SON OF THE SOUTH CD. Jeff not only wrote the lyrics, but also arranged the music, and co-produced all 16 songs on the CD. He has sparked the interest of several record labels in Nashville with his original songs and has played at the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge and Rippy’s in Nashville, Tennessee over the past several years.

In 2004, Jeff’s life took a drastic turn – he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He had a Stem Cell Transplant on November 30, 2005 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. His sister, Laurie was his donor and Jeff has been fighting this disease since. To make the accomplishments in the music industry that he has made, is remarkable, and has been better than any medicine he has been given. He now appreciates life more and is thankful for each day.

Jeff's high energy shows, unmistakable voice, down to earth lyrics, and God given talent shines when he is on stage which earned him two different nominations for Country Male Artist of The Year for The 2009 Carolina Music Awards in Raleigh NC and the 2009 Queen City Music Awards in Charlotte NC and also earned him shows opening up for Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Leann Rimes, David Allan Coe, 38 Special, Rhett Akins, Lonestar, Blake Shelton, Colt Ford, The Little River Band, Andy Griggs, Keith Anderson,Tracy Byrd, Billy Joe Royal, Brantley Gilbert, The Kentucky Head Hunters, Molly Hatchet, Ronnie McDowell, Confederate Railroad, Matt Stillwell, DB Bryant Band, Mustang Sally, Black Label, Kip Moore, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, Parmalee, and others and has headlined many events throughout the south.

On Saturday, December 12, 2009, Jeff won the Queen City Music Award for Male Country Artist Of The Year for 2009 in Charlotte NC. During the awards Jeff gave a moving speech. A portion of the money that was raised went to Cure 4 Cancer. As a rule, he never talks about his battle but found himself telling the audience the complete story. When he finished, the audience gave him a standing ovation and were patting him on the back as he returned to his seat. After the show, many people came up to Jeff and told him how much his speech meant to them and how inspirational the speech was. Jeff said "I'm living proof that research for cancer works", and hiswords gave hope to many people fighting the disease.

“Jeff is a wonderful loving person and only sees the good in people which is a rare trait this day and time. He has written some beautiful Christian contemporary songs as well as his traditional and southern rock country songs. His song which he is working on now is called "Got Country" and may be the one that makes it all the way with many others to follow.”– Jerry Thomas

Currently Jeff is working in Sound Hole Studio on his new CD - Got Country- The first single demo is on the site now with the Cd to be released in 2010.

Jeffrey Allen Edwards thanks the Lord for continuing to bless him each and every day and allowing him one more day to do what he loves. He thanks the Lord for every second, every breath, and just everything. He thanks his family for their moral support and understanding of what and why he does what he loves. He says “without you, I'm nothing.” God Bless!
