With a strong, clear tenor voice, JEFF MOATS records and performs a wide assortment of tunes from the American songbook.
Whether it is Folk, Country/Western, or Rock, his music is always well received.

From traditional folk to flower power pop, his style is "freshly familiar". Accompanying himself on 6 and 12 string guitar, the 5 string banjo and harmonica, he provides a full sound at a performance.

Jeff performed extensively in the San Diego area in the 1980's. During the 2000's, He performed at the San Diego Folk Heritage Festival, four years in a row, sharing the stage with such luminaries as; Pint & Dale, Peggy Watson, Randy Sterling, Patty Hall, Sparky and Rhonda and acted as musical emcee for the featured evening concert headlined by Tom Paxton. In addition, his performances were highlighted at The Bright Angel Lodge, at the Grand Canyon National Park.

In recording, he employs the full use of multi-tracking, combining multiple vocal and instrumental parts, (6 and 12 string guitar, the 5 string banjo, the tenor guitar, harmonicas, and bass) to produce an unique folksy but contemporary sound.

Jeff's music would best be described as a blend of folk, country and rock. The result is an entertaining repertoire that truly engages listeners with great tunes.
