Passionately fond of sound, musical aesthetic and production, Jean quickly set up his own recording studio, running it as an engineer, at the same time as his musician (bass player) activities.
From the end of the 80’s, his -more Anglo-saxon than typically french-orientation and work style led him to work, as engineer-producer, with artists searching the same kind of production, like french bands Norma Loy, Complot Bronswick, Little Nemo... but internationals too, like very famous russian band Kino.

As well attracted by high standard acoutic recording as creativity in production, Jean sets up a much more important recording studio, he receives some prestigious names and collaborates with arrangers-producers like: Mat Clifford (Jon Anderson, ABWH, Rolling Stones...), Fred DeFaye (Eurythmics, Nathalie Imbruglia), Hugh Jones (Echo & the Bunnymen, Simple Minds, Stan Ridgway, Status Quo, The Charlatans...), or Craig Street (Nora Jones...), Craig coming for some Gipsy Kings recordings.

Jean's high quality acoustic recordings also appeal high-standard jazzmen such as Aldo Romano, Franck Avitabile, Steve Swallow, Baptiste Trotignon, Daniel Yvinec...

During 2006 Audio Engineering Society (AES) international convention, Jean, as a part of jury, is involved in student recording competition. At the present time, he is also a teacher at the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris)

As an engineer-producer, Jean also worked with various artist such as: Au p’tit bonheur, ADX, Dominique Dalcan, Jean-Marie Ecay, Tony Hymas, Manu Katché, Lilicub, Fred Wesley, Alan White/Yes...

Among his recent work: singer Enzo Enzo, composer Steve Nieve next album, with Vanessa Paradis, Laurie Anderson, Joe Sumner, Elvis Costello..., and five-time Grammy Nominee singer Tierney Sutton...
