I'm a recording artist, song writer, music producer and performer from Chicago. I was Born and raised in Rockwell Garden Housing Projects on the Westside of Chicago where I learned early what good music was all about.. I grew up listening to artist like Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Earth, Wind and Fire, Gamble & Huff and Chaka Kahn. And being raised in my families Baptist church, I listened to a ton of great gospel music.. It was these types of recording artist and musics that fueled my passion for a career in music at an early age.

In early 2000 me and brother Xavier (X) formed a rap group called Well-Connected and released our first single titled “This Place of Ours” featuring platinum R&B singer R.Kelly.

I later moved from Chicago to Los Angeles to further my career in music.. I released my first single titled "My Angels" and began promoting and performing my music throughout the US and abroad selling 10's of thousands my cds, downloads and Jay Rockwell merchandise while building a monster mailing list at the same time..

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my new studio single titled "Amount to Nothing" set for release mid July 2015. Music is a sharing of ideas, hopes, ambitions and culture.” Use it. Love it.
