Combining folk and electronic influences with innocent melodies and sophisticated words and layers of sound, Berlin's Jasmina Maschina (aka Jasmine Guffond) is also part of the experimental electronic duo Minit.
She was encouraged by friends to record her more traditionally melodic and structured songs, which she did at home with the help of collaborators including Minit's other half, Torben Tilly. Her debut album, Demolition Series, was released by Staubgold in spring 2008. ~ Heather Phares
