Actor, singer, and songwriter Jana Kramer was born December 3, 1983, and grew up with country music.
Her striking good looks found her pursuing acting, and she appeared in a host of television shows, including parts in Friday Night Lights, 90210, and Entourage, before she landed the recurring role of Alex in the CW's One Tree Hill, quickly becoming a fan favorite. The exposure Kramer received on the show was parlayed into the start of a country music singing career, and her first four singles, 2011's "Why Ya Wanna," "I Won't Give Up," and "Whiskey," and 2012's "What I Love About Your Love," all broke and were featured on the One Tree Hill series soundtrack. A debut album, simply titled Jana Kramer, appeared from Warner Bros. in the spring of 2012. The album fared well, rising to number five on the Country Albums chart and going to 19 in the Top 200 survey. In May 2014, Kramer released a new single, "Love," which was the first sampling from her second album. The song cracked the Country Top 40, and a second single, "I Got the Boy," fared even better; released in January 2015, it peaked at number 24 on the Country Singles chart and sold over 257,000 units. Kramer's sophomore album, Thirty-One, was released in October 2015, and included a duet with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, "Bullet." The album was preceded by two singles, "Love" and "I Got the Boy," the latter cracking Billboard's Country Top 30. ~ Steve Leggett
