At age 16, Jake was nominated &awarded "Artist of the Year" by Queen City Music Awards. “Halden Vang” was also nominated for 2011 "Band of the Year" by the Charlotte Music Awards. An established veteran musician, now at age 18, Jake has already shared show billing with music greats; Warren Haynes, Greg Allman, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan, Kevn Kinney/Drivin N’ Cryin, Steve Miller, Leon Russell, Elvin Bishop,Trombone Shorty, Moreland & Arbuckle, Tommy Castro, The Holmes Brothers, Tom Hambridge, Webb Wilder and has appeared as a guest guitarist with Umphreys McGee, Buddy Guy, Marshall Tucker, Chris Hicks, Walter Trout, Tommy Castro,Robin Rogers and Bryan Lee. Jake has also performed hundreds of notable club, theater and festival dates through-out the South East states, to include; Warren Haynes Christmas Jam, Live Nation’s TWC Amphitheatre, Sarasota Blues Fest, Pleasure Island Seafood Blues & Jazz Fest, Neighborhood & Visulite Theatre, The Chop Shop, The Double Door, Southland Ballroom, BB Kings, The Fillmore, The Orange Peel, Asheville Music Hall, Don Gibson Theatre, 12th & Porter, The Rutledge, 3rd & Lindsley, Ground Zero, and Webster Hall-NYC. Additionally, at age 15, he attended the 2011Winter NAMM Show by artist invitation from Fender Guitars. He is a proud member of famed rock photographer, Robert M Knight’s, “Brotherhood of the Guitar” and has also performed, as an invited guest artist, at Capricorn Records “Friends & Family Reunion”.

Jake’s music career started from the moment he picked up a guitar at age 11. He began performing live shows by age 12 and at age 13 he was locally recognized, being chosen to represent Charlotte NC at the 2009 International Blues Challenge in the IBC Youth Showcase. Additionally, Jake is an accomplished acoustic musician, who also performs as a solo artist, as well as being a multi instrumentalist, playing both the bass guitar and drums. As a song writer, Jake wrote his first song at age 14, self producing and releasing his first studio CD “Tell The Truth” at age 15. He has since written and composed hundred’s of original songs, eight of which he’s recently recorded for his next upcoming CD release,planned for summer of 2013. Jake is a must see artist who’s authentic,original musicianship and astounding performances has established him as a sought after artist, whose star continues to grow and shine brightly.
