When he was only 9 years old,
Jacques Mees from Tilburg, Netherlands, thought he

got struck by lightning when he heard Bob Dylan's voice for the first

time. It was then that he also heard his vocational calling to become a

singer-songwriter himself. His influences came from country, blues and

folk music. His mentors were Townes van Zandt, Hank Williams and of course Bob Dylan

and others of that genre who all contributed to Jacques becoming the versatile recording and performing artist that he is today.
