Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader Laura Hackett reportedly was singing songs in her crib when she was only two years old, and discovered songwriting when she was but eight years old.
Her parents joined the staff of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City when Hackett was 14, and she became a worship leader there. Studying music theory in college (she attended the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City), she developed her songwriting into a medium of spiritual praise, and she was eventually signed to a recording contract with IHOPKC's own Forerunner Music record label, releasing a self-titled debut album in 2009, following it with a second, Love Will Have Its Way, in 2014, the same year that she married fellow Forerunner artist and worship leader Jonas Park. ~ Steve Leggett
