Born in Scotland in 1971 and raised in Rome.
Went on to study philosophy at Sussex University and became a worshipper of music and the electric guitar.

After an initial fascination with PInk Floyd, Dire Straits and the biting blues sound of Albert Collins, Ian only truly "saw the light" when listening to Myles Davis' We Want Myles (starring Mike Stern) and decided to rename himself "Fusian" and dive into the ocean of Jazz Rock, Prog and Fusion from which he has never truly reemerged.

in 2003 he published a self-produced album with his Italian band Individual Choice, called Make Your Choice. The album remained relatively unknown until it was picked up by Americal label Magnatune in 2011 and published on their streaming radio podcast as well as other major publishing platforms such as Itunes, Amazon and Spotify.Make Your Choice was declared one of the top 4 jazz albums on Magnatune in 2012.

After moving to Brussels in 2008, Ian continued to make music with a band called Jazz House FX and made a recording with them in the Pyramid Studio outside Brussels. However a new interest had been growing in Ian for some time, that of electronic music and specifically drum & bass.

The new album had to be enriched by drum loops and midi guitar.

Thanks to 2 top music producers, Axel Dumont and Jason Piccioni, who contributed with their own mixes of 2 tracks and patiently taught Ian how to use Logic Pro, and after a long and laborious period of experimentation and mixing, the new album, which mixes together jazz, rock, drum and bass, electronic and world music, has been released by CD Baby. and is also available from online distribution platforms.
