Maurice’s vocal stylings have been compared to the likes of Sam Cooke because of the ownership he takes of each song he sings, making him a “New standard bearer waiting his turn” according to former music industry executive Gene Shelton (former VP of Media Relations for Warner Brothers Records) who has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. He is best known as the front man of the Award Winning soul rock band Winslow who has played with Earth Wind and Fire, Lupe Fiasco and Incubus to name a few but that is only a piece of what he is bringing to the music industry. As a songwriter and producer with Winslow, Maurice has had several songs licensed to VH-1, MTV, E! and Nascar and has worked with Grammy award winning producer Edwin “Tony” Nicholas and Grammy award winning guitartist Michael J. Calhoun. Maurice is currently working at the Music Supervisor of the award winning film #50Fathers, which debuted as the #1 Urban Dramatic Comedy in the US during its premiere weekend.
