Hypnotone revolves around Tony Martin, who had previously worked with Creation Records with a different line-up featuring the vocals of Denise Johnson on releases such as ‘Dream Beam’ (remixed by Danny Rampling and Ben Champion).
The modern Hypnotone included vocalist Cordelia Ruddock, discovered by Martin at a fashion show, Lee Royle, whom he met through a computer bulletin board and Cormac Fultan, a pianist and organist, who met Martin in the more conventional environment of a bar.
