Singer/songwriter Hunter Moore specializes in country-flavored contemporary folk with significant blues and bluegrass influences.
His songs are rooted in his southeastern Missouri background. Moore grew up in a rural town surrounded on three sides by the mighty Mississippi River and his lyrics are consequently dominated by stories of small town life. As a lyricist, he draws liberally from literary influences that include Southerners like Peter Taylor and Walker Percy. Moore's resume includes ten years of songwriting work on Nashville's Music Row. His songs have been recorded by Ricky Scaggs, Alabama, and Kathy Mattea. His independently released solo debut, Departure, appeared in 1992. Four years later in 1996, Moore's follow-up effort Delta Moon was picked up by Tangible Records. ~ Evan Cater
