Rather than just recreating the traditional occult doom or Southern American sludge, this band takes what's slow and heavy in their genre and puts it in the cold and dark atmosphere of the early european black metal scene as well as in the anti-social lyrical themes of the hardcore scene.

WALK THROUGH FIRE started up in 2008 with a self-released instrumental EP - at which point the sound was somewhat different from what it is today. The idea, however, to create music that dealt with - or simply expressed - the emptiness, hopelessness and darkness all of us go through in life has always beenthe foundation of the band.

In 2011 they released their debut full-length album "Furthest From Heaven" (Aesthetic Death) and touredthe UK and northern Europe shortly after. The album and the live shows gave them a name in the undergroundscene and the magazines - both underground and mainstream.
