Violinist/violist Heather Paauwe is a versatile musician who performs pop and rock, composes and improvises for theater and dance, and is active in classical and historical music performance.
She performs and records regularly with various orchestras, backing artists in Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Royal Albert Hall and numerous New York City clubs.

Heather was a close collaborator, both as a performer and a contributing composer, on several major theater pieces with LaMaMa’s Ellen Stewart, including Il Corvo (Venice Biennale), Project 12 (Zagreb), Dionysus (Taipei Arts Festival), Diana (Pristina Kosovo), and Asclepius, Romeo and Juliet, Herakles, Antigone, Perseus, Oedipus and Seven Against Thebes (LaMaMa Experimental Theatre in New York City). In other theater work, Heather was the featured solo violinist in George Wolfe’s The Tempest, both on Broadway and at the Shakespeare Festival in Central Park.

Heather’s TV appearances include the Grammy Awards with Adele, Saturday Night Live with Kanye West, Rockefeller Tree Lighting Ceremony with Enya, Josh Groban, Ashley Tinsdale, the Diva Awards with Mariah Carey, and the Today show with Meatloaf. Other live backing or touring include Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Mika, Barry Manilow, Marco Antonio Solis, Tony Bennett, Meatloaf, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, EVOC, David J and MORRIE.
