Beginning
The band was given a name "State Revenue" in 2006 and only using "Happily Ever After " at the end of 2006. Early 2006, There was Rian Hea, Ryza Kamil and David Andrew relaxing after finished their sports activities at the St. Thomas's Secondary School Old Basketball Court (Near James Wong's Hall), they had discuss which ended-up to be their passion to have a band. So, the main topic was to have one 'punk rock band' in Kuching or Cat City. They manage to play an instrument and they have to start it only if David will become their Vocalist , Rian as Drummer and Ryza as Guitarist. So, they add-up another 2 more member Christopher as Bassist and Winston as Lead Guitar. So, They completed their first task that is to have a band. So, they called it "State Revenue" band. Their first battle of the band was Band Search at Ruai Indai Lounge. After that, they blasting at St. Mary's Secondary School Battle Of The Band till the middle of the year of 2006 when Christ pulled-out from the band due to the commitment (Not really Consistent) and Winston starting a new band and leaving the other three musketeers remain as a band. They didn't give up but they made some change and transformation to the band. The change their position and adding another two members into the band. The Line-up was Rian (Vocal), Ryza( Lead Guitar), Bob (Rythm Guitar), Gary (Bass) and David (Drum). The used to cover a Blink 182 songs and more. So, they change their band name from State Revenue to "Haven't Decide band. Funny and crappy band name.
Haven't Decide did blast and more happening because Rian not only singing but appears as the third guitarist. David manage to play a punk rock beat, Ryza loves a riff by My Chemical Romances and manage to learn it, Gary mastered his ska-punk bass-line and Bob had a million of ideas in writing a material which their combined all together to form a Happy Music although the lyrics was sad. Bob(Lated) wrote his first lyric that is "Story Of My Life" and "I'm The Unlucky Person" coming after that. They used to have a jamming session while continue to produce a new material. Finally, they changed their band name from "State Revenue" to "Happily Ever After" and they manage to have their own songs that is "Story Of My Life" , "I hate Her", and "I'm The Unlucky Person". They joined a lot of showcase and gigs all around the Cat City. They performed at One Sebila's Gig organized by Disharmonic Movement, Centre Point (Kuching Jamm Band) and Modern Rock Tuesday. So, Happily ever After was officially formed in 2007.
In 2008, The band goes well where they have a lot of gig to perform and a lot of event than the previous year. Rian and Bob keep on wrote a new lyric and based on their experiences. The sound did perfectly match with their character. They also change their ideas and keep on composing a new riff and music. However, the sad part encountered Happily Ever After when they lost one of their band member, Bob or known as Ritchel Bunchol. He passed away on 11 June 2008 due to illness( Cancer ) and Gary leaved the band soon after that due to commitment problems. So, here they go again, 3 Pieced band starting again. Happily Ever After did not end their scene but they continue as three piece's band. Rian as vocalist and guitarist, Ryza as Bassist (Temporary) and David remain as Drummer. They performed at [1] Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia and joined as the finalist of BandXplosion 2008 at the Kenyalang Park, Kuching, performing same stage with the guess band such as Bunkface, Butterfingers (Malaysian band), and more in 2008. The H.E.A band finished top 10 and the champion for that BandXplosion was Delphian For Aria (Kuching band).
The new " HAPPILY EVER AFTER "
The New era of Happily Ever After started in 2009 when their 'vacant' position for bass player was added by Fame or his real name is Faisalli Amil. He was a well-known bassist in the St. Thomas's Secondary School. So, his skill attracting Rian to take him and persuade him to joined the band. Fame actually same school with Rian, David and Ryza. Their combination did work out when they first song was recorded in 2009 title "Story Of My Life" for Disaster End EP and was interviewed by Cats FM. They still on writing their own material now. In addition, they released their first single in 2010 Warna Kehidupan song recorded by Seventh Tribes Studios. It was their first Malay-Language song wrote by Them.
