Independent chamber/rock band Gypsys Gift have achieved regular radio play across the country including reviews and airplay from ABC radio station Triple J. With the release of their first single ‘Flowing’ they reached #7 most downloaded song for community radio across Australia, next to Evermore and Nat Cole & The Kings.
Recently the duo entered the 2013 Australian Independent Music Awards (AIMA’s) and took home the #1 award for their song ‘The Fight’. Their self-produced music video ‘Flowing’ entered the top 10 at #7. Gypsys Gift placed 6 nominations at the awards; out of 7 entries.Gypsys Gift aim to entertain with their emotive, standstill stories. They are currently finishing their first album Chapters, which is scheduled for release in 2014. Chapters will evoke a unique mood reminiscent of progressive rock, whilst setting a tone of modern mysticism and soul-capturing drama.
