Canadian folk-rock quartet Kaïn formed in Drummondville, Quebec, in 2001.
Within months, the group (singer/guitarist Steve Veilleux, lead guitarist Patrick Lemieux, bassist Eric Maheu, and drummer Yannick Blanchette) took top honors at the Granby Festival, earning a tour of France for their efforts. Following the success of the single "Parle Moi d'Toi," Kaïn's debut LP, Pop Culture, appeared in 2004, spending close to three months on the Quebec charts. Nulle Part Ailleurs followed a year later. ~ Jason Ankeny
