Grip Wrench is a veteran singer from Montego-Bay Jamaica who has shown much talent over the years.
After these long years of toiling to make a chart hit, he is even more resolved today in getting his elusive dream of becoming a headline singer someday soon. Continued perseverance has shown that his ambition is still alive. He has set up his own recording business Elite Production on which he has produce three songs . Track 1 is Nuh Kill Dem by (Grip Wrench) followed by Naah Stop Try by (Nature Slang) and Dem Come Hype Up a collaboration wiyh (Dj Brilliant). Grip Wrench's life story began in the parish of St. James (Jamaica, W.I.) where he attended the Granville Basic School from there he went on to Harrison Primary School he also went to Catherine Hall Primary School for a little while. his scholastic activities terminated at Catadupa All Age and Junior High. Even though singing was the only thing he wanted to do for his life, Grip Wrench realized that he had to get some form of livelihood until his recording ambitions blossomed. He become a radio technician. He work at El-paso Records store for quite a while, he also work as a pump attendant at shell Gas Station and he was also a Security Officer. Screwdriver, the man who shot to the top of the charts in the 80's with his single (Sharon A Pregnant Yu Pregnant) was the man who Grip Wrench used to work together with. One day while they were together, a young woman looked at him and said, well if him a Screwdriver, then you must be (Grip Wrench). His real name is Garfield Almando Woodstock. The strongest influence that began Grip Wrench's singing career came from Pliers who also have tool name. His first time in a studio was some time in the late 80's when he recorded (In Your Eyes) on the Top Rank Records lable. In fact, his next three recordings (Track Of My Tears), (All My Life) and (Left In The Dark) were done on that same lable which is owned by Mr. Elon Robinson the man who Grip Wrench credits for giving him his biggest push in the music business. (Puppy Love) was Grip Wrench's next effort on the Crazy B Records lable and (Knock Knock) produce by Mr Maurice Johnson for Jack Scorpio Records lable before he took a long hiatus in the music business, After having a long conversation with Dj Bones of Irie FM he return in 2003 with the right attitude and approach. His first show was (All School Jam) after which he toured Canada in 1992 for a series of shows. (Grip Wrench) record his debut album (Real) 2007 on the Victoryone Records label the song (Mr. Fix It ) endorse by the Bureu Of Women's Affairs in Jamaica hit the top of the reverbnation charts and stay at number one for three months and two weeks produce by Leon Williams on the Victoryone Records label. Grip Wrench performed at the (Women and Men Speak Out To End Violence Against Women) show in 2007 he also performed at the (International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women) in 2010 and 2011 and 2012 he performed at the Women's Empowerment Expo and many other shows. His favorite singers of all time his (Burning Spare), (Dennis Brown), (Gregory Isaacs), His favorite colors yellow, red and green, favorite food Veg, Ackee and Salt fish. In his spare time, he play some cricket he also listen to the news a lot.
Grip Wrench now have his own Record Label (Elite Productions) (This Is How I Feel ft: Ms Trace from Australia), (Peace Maker), (I Know) is release on his Elite Productions Label. He also work with Jumpstreet Productions own by Peter Baugh. Grip Wrench his now in the studio working on his forth album titled (PERSEVERANCE) soon to be release on (Jambago Productions) Records Label produce by (Jeffrey George) a police officer live in Tobago.
