He spent most of the early portion of his career performing under the alias "Osso Bucco" and traveled throughout Europe performing at festivals. He later enrolled at Mills College in California and studied electronic music recording under the guidance of Fred Frith. After releasing several recordings in limited editions on smaller labels, his debut record Through the Cardial Window was released on the post-rock imprint Kranky in 2006.~ Rob Theakston
