I had just witnessed 2 extremes of music that were breaking at the time and loved them both. I knew I had to be a part of that ferocious energy and creativity.

Fast forward the pain of learning my stuff I eventually got into some crazy ass punk / metal bands after re locating to Vancouver BC to attend studio recording school. Got to be in the middle of the 90s Vancouver music scene which is legendary. The top bands on the planet were recording in town, there were a plethora of live music venues and there was every type of music you could imagine pouring out of every club. It was incredibly inspiring
