Blending alternative pop/rock inspirations with dexterous, jazzy inspiring tunes, Godzik Pink delivers inimitable pieces of complex soundings.
Embodied by a four-piece crew composed of guitarist Ara Shirinyan, also a member of the Sound of the Soil; Eric Kiersnowski (bass); Jonathan Silberman (tenor saxophone); and drummer Nigel Lundemo, also playing with the Uphill Gardeners, Godzik Pink first formed in 1996 in San Diego, choosing from the very start of their operations to strictly play instrumental themes. Godzik Pink, the quartet's first disc showed up in 1998 through the Transparency Records label, subliming the team's intrepid instrumentations and superior musical commands. One year after, the ensemble offered Es Em Ekel Em, by then through the 5 RC label. Black Broccoli, Godzik's third recording, arrived in 2001, corroborating the team's resourceful and exclusive instrumentations. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
