Once described as "Shrinks Overtime" Gimson (pronounced Gym-Sun) is a Hip hop artist with a thick and distinctive West Country accent.
The socially awkward 6 foot 4 inch rapper from Bath is a crude poet with a depth of imagination that is dark, cold and hard hitting. His raps are a social commentary consisting of heart breaking tales, black humour and picturesque imagery.

Gimson's musical journey began at the young and not so innocent age of 12 when he was introduced to music making programmes such as Hip Hop Ejay. Through his troubled teenage years he joined various 'rap crews' before starting his own. Making beats on his prehistoric hand me down pc, Gimson began getting a reputation locally for his beat making skills. Through the years he studied it all, writing, recording, mixing, mastering and performing. As his name grew around the South West he managed to support some great acts such as Ghetts, Lowkey, Skinnyman, K'Ners and Shystie. The more he learned about the industry and the art of music the more he became infatuated with this pastime which led him to start his own independent record label, Kountry Kartel Records.

With tales of paranoid relationships, domestic violence on an extreme scale, heartbreak and drug abuse Gimson explains bluntly, "Life is about stories and in order to tell stories you need to have experienced stuff. If you haven’t experienced stuff then what are you doing with your life?"
