Her singing career began at age 12 when she joined the St. Charles Borromeo Choir of New York. She spent six years singing with the choir, honing her craft. In the late '90s, she aggressively embarked on her solo career, beginning a rigorous schedule of vocal rehearsals. She met producer Kimo Kaulani in 2000 and signed to the Nuendo Music Group in the spring of that same year. Her debut release surfaced in 2001, the Tenderly EP, which blends together her various musical influences: pop, R&B, jazz, and gospel. The EP features the song "Am I Your Fantasy," which got airplay in such faraway countries as Russia and Japan. ~ Jason Birchmeier
