Frida Black-Heart is part of an exhibition (un-realised projects volume 4 2011) curating projects which remain in a status of unrealisation.
As part of the exhibition I was invited to submit a project which for one reason or another has remained in "the drawer".

"Music has always been a huge part of my life and is still my first love. There has never been a waking moment where music hasn't featured...even in my sleep I sing!" Frida

The songs uploaded on this site are extracts from the "lost tapes" which were recorded as soundscapes and/or ideas for potential songs on a 4 track from the early 1990's to the early 2000's.

"Decisive meandering, stuttering momentum, moments of inspiration and conceptual semantics drove a shared goal to discover what the works might say once forced from the page and into form for a one night event. And the partially productive, partially wasteful, partially circular, partially disruptive distance between intention and realisation will be reflected through a graphic score produced and performed by sound artists Jonny Hill and Edward Simpson on the night of the event. Conceptual impetus, moral rights, production value, intention, time and budget: a multiplicity of motivations driven by an overall process that seems to reflect the messy jumble of factors that determine how a work actually develops and how its legitimacy can be read in the imperfect conditions of its making.

This project is based in time and this is what we know at this moment."

Artists in final event:

David Cunningham,Cecilia Wee,Cecilie Gravesen,Neva Elliott,Robert Kiff,Paul Stanley,Jonny Hill,Edd Simpson and Frida Blackheart aka Debbie Daniel.
