The beginning and Ireland

ForgetMeNot is a Breton group from several meetings and carried by a deep desire to create.

It is also in English a flower : "forget-me-not".

It all started in 2004 :Heather met Patrick. She is a singer, songwriter & performer, keyboardist.He is a sound engineer, guitarist, bassist, composer and arranger. Theyhave previously experiencedstage experiences and participated invarious projects.

This is first as an acousticduet they occurin road option andstages : from “Aquitaine to Burgundy”, “Pays de la Loire to Brittany”.

They go to Ireland to attempt a musical adventure and planning to settle onthe island of legend. It was during a rehearsal in a large field of forget-me-notsin the south of Ireland that the singerwill baptize her project: ForgetMeNot.

But the duo mustgo back to France for family reasons.Never mind, ForgetMeNot is electrified in 2007and is surrounded by musicianfriends who assist to find the right present accomplicesforming Breton team:

Prish? After a gig,spectators "Anglo-Saxon" declare,at the dedication of albums, they found themusic and the songs "soPrish"; ForgetMeNot kept this word alsocontracted the words "pop,rock and irish."

Heather is knowledgeableand eclectic music lover.

Very young she learned the piano, has evolved into the world of the choir, and then followed the classical and modern singing classes with differentteachers.

She loves music experiences.

His influences are many: PeterGabriel, Lisa Gerrard, Porcupine Tree, Sinead O'Connor,Kate Bush, AnPierlé Queen, Loreena McKennitt, and many others.

She draws for his songs and moods in various musical genres: pop, rock, world, folk, reggae, celtic,progressive ... to make a subtle and random mix in a "irish" spirit for singing, the voice that is the conducting wire.

Charismatic on stage, supported by alchemy and the complicity of other musicians of the band, the singerhas a way of captivating her audience that she makestraveling throughout the differenttitles. Coming from differentbackgrounds and styles, ForgetMeNotmembers all have a solid stage experience andsailed in other formationsin almost all styles and variations of pop, rock and folk.

The flutist has the classical world,choral and harmony.

The drumer has followed a course at the Conservatory and the famous School ofNancy, the M. A. I..

The guitarist who taught in itspart, is also the engineer training (liveand studio) andhad the opportunity to rub shoulders with many artists on stage and during albumrecordings.

The bassist is also accordionistand was formed on drums.

To date, ForgetMeNot has occurred on many beautifulscenes with almost 200 electric concerts besides the many bars and small places in electro-acoustic.The band is mostly exported in the first place to turn in Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire for a practicalquestion (geographic availabilityof the work of Patricksound engineer):

ForgetMeNot will make a lovely first part of their friends the Breton band Merzhin during the tour of their 15 years (end of 2012).

(The band is enrolled in the summerof 2014 in the contest of thepress Ouest-France Music by presenting two titlesof his discography. ForgetMeNot will be part of the 100 pre-selected by the Internet).

2014 new projects inBrittany:

Patrick, who was dealing with an independent label and contemporary music and amplified structures in Gironde, returns full time in the Morbihan in Melrand.

Patrick created with Heather their ownindependent label associations : Prish Waves Records(intended also to other artists and groups) and fit out their rehearsalroom and home studio.

ForgetMeNot worked in thestudios of the label residencefrom October 2014 to January 2015 to preparea various new set, new arrangements with fluteand keyboards, and especially new titles.The team isplanning a future third album as soon as possible.

The group participates with two titles in a double charity compilation(30 groups) for the indie label Composit-Music from Bordeaux and the league against cancer(followed by a concert series).

Sarah Bettens of K'sChoice band sends an email compliments to Heather when their team listeningForgetMeNot to their bus-tour.

She also received the encouragementof artists such as Angus & Julia Stone and An Pierlé (WhiteVelvet) who discovered ForgetMeNotalbums during friendly meetings.

ForgetMeNot occurred foreach physical output of the albums on many show-cases in shops where the albums were sold(Cultura, Madison Nuggets,Espaces Culturels Leclerc, Fnac)and in many libraries, exhibitions, cocktail-concerts.

Sales of albums in self-distribution and sale deposit cover each timein a few months the cost of studio and manufacturing. ForgetMeNot is classified several weeks"crush of the sellers"in new "internationalpop-rock."
