Lyman Grant (aka Foreign Cease) is a music producer, songwriter, and hip-hop recording artist from St.
Louis, Missouri.

At the age of 12, he was inspired to pursue music by his mother and, fellow Missouri-raised rap artist, Tech N9ne. Using his unique self-educated style, he began studying the world of music production. He spent many hours shaping and perfecting his work; bringing to life his personal style and sound. Not until all of these elements (his perfected sound, knowledge of the industry, and personal vision) came together, though, did Foreign Cease genuinely come to life.

Cease was producing and making beats for local artists in the St. Louis area when he caught the attention of former producer Angela Richardson. Richardson has since received recognition for the successful release of St. Louis rap artist Huey's 2007 album entitled, "Notebook Paper," under her management (Tha Nod Factor Management). Although Richardson was eager to meet with Cease, his mother felt that he was too young to dedicate himself fully to his career and suggested he give himself time to grow.

Though he didn't end up working with Richardson, Cease's artistic ambition and vision has only grown. He has released numerous mix tapes and continues striving to be one of the greatest artists to ever create music. Cease is currently working on his latest mix tape release, "Forever Foreign" (2016) and the video for/commercial release of his single 'Bagdad.'
