Home of the Kansas City Chiefs, Tech N9ne and great barbeque. "Jameel" Born Jameel Hasan Kane in the south side of the city, had a good upbringing. His mother and father got married when he was four and he was brought up in a loving home. Though his father was away alot in his early years, Jameel learned about life in his home town. "He was a daydreamer, always off in his own mind". His mother says. As he grew he developed a love for music and sports. Football in particular. "The 49ers introduced me to football. I would sit down on Sundays and watch this sport and whenever I would sit down to watch, the 49ers were always on. I was fascinated as a child, wanting to learn everything about the game, to play like those guys. But my first love was music. I would sing in school assembly's. I was Frosty the Snowman in one play, lol. Singing songs and acting. We took that show on the road, performing it for other schools too. I loved it. " Right across the street growing up was Jameel's cousin and budding future KC rap star Jae Ca$ino. They would rap together with the fellas in the basement, beating on tables and honing there craft. Jae continued down the musical path. But football wouldn't stay out of Jameel's mind for long. Eventually Jameel did play like those guys he watched on Sundays. Getting his first contact football experience his Freshman year of High School. Starting Varsity fullback and linebacker at Southeast High his last three years. Along the way he meet up and became lifelong brothers with W.!.S.E., Mike D. JuaQuan Herron (Kansas City actor/Manager) amongst a host of others. When dreams of playing in the NFL weren't realized after a stint at Highland Community College, Jameel turned his sights on his early childhood love, Music. No longer singing but rapping now. Jameel has a style all his own. Straightforward lyrics with an unmistakable voice...
