Similar to many of the other artists surrounding the Hardwax-affiliated record labels in Berlin, the Greek artist known as Fluxion (Konstantinos Soublis) shrouded himself in anonymity despite releasing a handful of wonderful downtempo experimental techno releases on the Chain Reaction label.
Epic in scope with a bit of the clicks + cuts approach synonymous with artists such as Vladislav Delay, much of Fluxion's best Chain Reaction work was compiled on two Vibrant Forms albums (issued in 1999 and 2000, respectively). He released a few EPs on his own Vibrant Music, as well as 2001 full-length Spaces. He went silent for a few years but resurfaced with a somewhat bolder approach on 2009-2010 releases through Resopal (Constant Limber) and Echocord (Perfused). He remained with Echocord for the Traces and Broadwalk Tales albums, while Type reissued the first Vibrant Forms collection. Fluxion moved to Subwax BCN in 2016; the label reissued Vibrant Forms II and released the newly recorded Vibrant Forms III. ~ Jason Birchmeier
