Singer/songwriter Fergus McCormick grew up near Flemington, NJ, and began writing songs at the age of 13.
After traveling extensively, he settled in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and organized a band consisting of bassist Mike Davis, drummers Tim Vaill and Robert Di Pietro, guitarist Riley McMahon, and pianist Andy Burton that began playing such New York venues as the Knitting Factory and Siné. McCormick self-released his first self-titled album in 2003. Jumping the Gun followed on May 17, 2005, and I Don't Need You Now on February 26, 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann
