Fawn Chanette, a self-proclaimed acoustical junkie, began hermusical quest at 10 years old as bass player in the family band.
Born fromstrong country roots in rural Ohio, she started singing shortly after pickingup the bass. At age 13, she discovered her love of written word and expressionthrough poetry.

Fawn recorded several demo tapes through-out the 1980’s and 90’s during herstint with country music, but after traveling to Nashville and meeting withseveral small record labels, she was repeatedly told that she wasn’t"country enough.” Frustrated with the music industry, Chanette began tofocus on her day job and furthering her business career. In 2002, she createdher own record label and published a 5 song EP titled “Run.” Chanette wasasked by a friend in 2011 to write a song for a short film she and her sisterwere working on called Thresholds, and the film team with Las PilónasProductions ended up using two of Fawn’s songs; I Cry, and One Breath (My MyMy) which was written specifically for the film.

In 2013, Chanette began recording her debut CD, but continuouslystruggled with vocal issues and was forced to stop the project while shesearched for answers. It wasn’t until she was diagnosed with a systemicdisease called Neuro-Behcet’s Vasculitis that she learned her vocal issues wererelated to chronic throat inflammation; partially a result of hundreds ofunsurfaced ulcers through-out her mouth and down her throat andesophagus.

It took over 15 years for Fawn to receive a medicaldiagnosis. She struggled for many years with chronic pain whicheventually lead her to end live performances. On October 8, 2015, Chanettehad a stroke, a direct result of a spontaneous carotid artery dissection. The inner and outer wall of the carotid artery leading to the brain severedapart, creating an empty pocket where blood settled in a pool, thus creatingblood clots. While she lay healing for months, Fawn pulled out all of her olddemo tapes, and was astonished that some of the songs were very good. Since her vocals are still not fully healed enough to record her debut CD, shehas decided to release two EP CDs based on the years the demo tapes wererecorded; to be released 2018.

The near-death experience has shifted Fawn’s focus back to theheart of her life dreams and is determined to take action. Even as hervocals are not yet at full capacity, she is still working toward the day whenperseverance, prayer and hope prevail. She has also started writing a3-part memoir series. There are lots of great projects in the works.
