From the Mexican city of San Luis Potosí, los Forasteros de San Luis started covering songs previously popularized by artists such as José Alfredo Jiménez and Leo Dan.
Known for their sax and accordion arrangements, the norteño quintet, led by singer Leo Medrano, signed up to Univision Music Group, debuting with the release of Mi Amigo y Yo. The album featured the hit single "El Ilegal." ~ Drago Bonacich
