At times moody and introspective, at others unveiling a heaviness not usually encountered in acoustic music, the Fabulous Contraption explore the forces of good and evil in the world of mutant folk rock.
The band describe their style as “Frog”, a combination of folk and prog, and after experiencing their music you’ll know what five string bluegrass banjo would sound like if it evolved in Eastern Europe and that Bulgarian folk music is really metal in disguise.

You’ll hear the folk rock of Jethro Tull and the Tea Party, the extended structures of Alamaailman Vasarat and Tool and the twiddly guitar of Tim McMillan. Like drifting calmly down a river only to find yourself in the midst of a crocodile infestation, the music moves between extremes: from trancelike calm to the devastating energy of a Himalayan avalanche to dancing-on-the-tables lunacy.
