Watercolour illustration to Young's *Night Thoughts*, Night the Fifth, pg. 44. I've mentioned this years ago in a note to this picture: again--the title of the book at the bottom of the stack=Aristotle's *De Respiratione* ("Aristot Respirat")--the indagator is perhaps in need of leaving the library for some fresh air. Blake did not, in his inscriptions on pictures, always cross his t's. The Plutarch is probably Daniel Wyttenbach's Oxford edition of the "Moralia"--*Plutarchi Chaeronensis Moralia*

Just for grinnies, here's what the eevul Robert Cromek did with the (unfound) Fuseli drawing of The Death of Cleopatra, around 7 years after Mr. Blake engraved, in 1797, after the original drawing for Allen's *Roman History*. Cromek's engraving is in illustration of *Antony and Cleopatra*, and was done in 1804 for the 1805 Steevens-Chalmers edition of Shakespeare (for which Mr. Blake engraved after Fuseli in illustrations to *Romeo and Juliet* and *Henry VIII*). Robert Hartley Cromek after Henry Fuseli, engraving and etching, plate 157 x 94 mm, sheet 213 x 124 mm
