Emily Frembgen is a Brooklyn-based singer and songwriter.
Her songs are evocative, subtle and always well crafted. She often plays solo, but she also fronts the well-regarded band, the Language of Termites, whose members presently live in three different cities. Despite this they have managed to create some alluring music over geographic distances, highlighted by fine musicianship and Emily's songwriting.

Emily's debut solo album, Always with You, was released in May 2010. Denver's alternative weekly, Westword, described the album as "veering from hushed, after-hours dreamscapes to gently distorted meltdowns" and "perfectly poised between sonic insurgency and Frembgen's fragile yet fearless vocals."

In 2013 Emily started a covers project on Tumblr, including plaintive versions of songs originally done by John Lennon, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Earle and many others. Her latest release, 'When I'm Really Gone,' is available at http://emilyfrembgen1.bandcamp.com/album/when-im-really-gone. -Joe Beine, 2013
