EL GUAPO is a dynamic four-piece band, out of Chicago, that have stretched the boundaries of rock music to new heights.
The power of their recordings captivate the listener hearing Jordan's melodic riffs, monster solos, and innovative guitar tones over Mike’s roaring guitars and hypnotic lyrics. Brian delivers pulsating bass grooves while Chuck E’s stormtrooper drum style meshes everything together in a twist and turn thrill ride of rockstar anthems. In January of 2000, EL GUAPO traveled to Hoboken, NJ and began recording at Water Music Studios with producer John Agnello (Eve 6, Dinosaur Jr., The Outfield) and completed 2 EPs. Since then El Guapo and John Agnello returned to the studio in July 2003 to record 2 new records at Gravity Studios, Chicago, IL which will be completed early 2004. EL GUAPO Signed a 1 year sponsorship deal with BUDWEISER in Feb2003, averages 40 shows per year and has toured the US, including shows with Grammy winners Juanes, Bacilos, & Atiercopelados at the House of Blues, Rock the Rolling Stones at Hard Rock Café, the 2001 ASCAP showcase at Double Door Chicago, and a major label/ASCAP showcase at the Viper Room in LA, CA.
