Electric Furnace were formed in 2010 by Westy and Kilby following the disintegration of South Wales punk/hard rock band First Among Equals.
Recruiting ex-Donde Stars drummer Mikey T and with Westy switching from drums to bass, the three merged to form Electric Furnace.

Electric Furnace have received positive press for their debut EP "Sound & Fury" in regional and national magazines, with the track 'Mother's Ruin' recieving airplay on BBC Radio 1, as well as being featured on the cover CD of Fireworks Magazine. The band were also finalists in Metal Hammer's 'Support Evile' competition, beating thousands of bands to reach a place in the finals.

Song themes cover vampires, cowboys and shipwrecks, and you won't find them moaning that mummy or daddy didn't buy them a puppy when they were younger. Taking their cues from classic bands such as Anthrax, Dio, Judas Priest, Alice in Chains and Pantera, they're not out to change the world, nor will they help to save the planet. They're out to write songs to bang your head and play air guitar to.
