Edwardia are a quartet from SW London comprising vocals (Marieke), cello (Hilary), violin/viola/accordion/piano (Rachel) and guitars and percussion (Paul).
Stylistically, comparisons have been made to baroque-pop:- emphasis on lush, classical-influenced sections but heavy on melody and ethereal vocals.Influences range from This Mortal Coil and Yann Tiersen to PJ Harvey, Bjork and Nick Cave.
November 2013: recording has begun on FOUR new pieces which will be formerly announced soon together with some live dates. Titles are as follows:
