As a child, Edjean enjoyed a variety of music genres, mainly Latin Pop, Latin Ballads, traditional local music and of course the island's traditional "end of the year" music.

Edjean's involvement in the entertainment business officially started on March 13th 1994, when he was a contestant during a national singing competition for the youth called "Voz-i-Landia"

From a very young age until today, he has been and still is one of the most popular and important Aruban stars invited to perform as a special guest in many important concerts, local and abroad, and also at national festivals and major cultural events.

His first album was released in April of 1995, making him THE FIRST EVER child singer to release a full solo album in the history of the Caribbean and the whole of Latin America. Source: Mr. Tony van Veen, Disc Makers New Jersey.

Edjean began sharpening his musical and vocal skills during his puberty, by taking intensive vocal therapy/classes with Cuban teacher Mayra Kock-Garrido for many years, then taking more intensive and professional classes with vocal coach Tica Giel, making him one of the best, foremost and most promising artists of Aruba.

8 years after the release of his first album, he released his second album, and the first volume of what became many successful seasonal albums: “Hey… ta Pasco!” (“Hey… it’s Christmas!”) with a brighter, deeper and clearer voice.

Since then, he started the tradition of releasing a new Seasonal album every year and presenting a huge concert to accompany it.

Besides seasonal (Christmas) songs, he is also very popular for his local music appeal for which he released “Mi Pais” (My Country), an album played in every major cultural event in Aruba.

Other major hit singles such as “Pordona mi” (Forgive me”), “Mi Mitad pa eternidad” (My other half for eternity) and "E regalo mas precioso" (The most precious gift), resemble the warmth and kindness of his personality.

Edjean was invited twice to perform in Holland in the year 2007.

The first performance was in March during "Arubadag" (Aruba Day), organized by "Arubahuis".

The second occasion was on December the 15th of 2007 during the "Koninkrijksconcert" (Concert of the Dutch Kingdom celebrating the Statute Day) in Nijmegen, organised by the Dutch Royal Family and the Dutch Government. Edjean was representing his fellow Arubans during this very important concert.

Edjean has proven himself as a very talented, very influential, independent, disciplined, determined, serious, creative and optimistic young artist.

In his first and own concert in December 2006, he demonstrated that he not only could be an excellent singer, but also an entertainer, who can direct and manage his own career to where he wants it to be.

Since then he has been selling out each and every show that he presents. Making him the most influential performer of his age and one of the most influential artists and celebrities on Aruba.

Since 2006, Edjean and his newly founded "Imedjean Productions" and its team have presented various concerts and albums achieving excellence and raising the bar each and every time to satisfy the ever growing and demanding public.

It has also become a tradition that Edjean invites many special guests during his musical productions. Guests ranging from the best local to the best international artists.

Edjean does a lot of charity work throughout the year, every year, contributing with a long list of foundations and organisations in the Aruban community. By "donating his talent" and promoting art appreciation, but also appreciation for Aruba's cultural heritage.

With still a bright future ahead of him, he constantly continues to improve and develop himself in the entertainment industry by exploring new possibilities and even bigger challenges.

In April 2010 he took off the "Singer hat" and (briefly) put on the hat of successful concert promoter/ employer of international artists to perform in their own concerts on Aruba.

Although he has already shown exceptional skills and talent as event planner, concert producer and promoter since his first concert.

The first and highly successful one is that of latin legend, Golden Album contender Henry Stephen, who celebrated 45 years in the music industry with the people of Aruba on April 9th 2010.

This of course broadened the contacts, ambitions and networks of Imedjean Productions, assuring bigger and more exciting projects for the future.

• September 1st, 2010: Concert "E piratanan di Amor... e continuacion", again a huge success. Combining the male performers together with one female "pirate".

• December 13th, 2010: Edjean presented his first international concert.

In Holland, at the "Stadsgehoorzaal" in Vlaardingen.

• May 6th, 2011: Concert "MAMA", putting together the best local artists on Aruba, presenting a special recital to all Aruba's mothers on their special day.

• July 9th, 2011: Edjean planned, produced and promoted a Unplugged Concert presented by local artist Angelo Koolman. This was a fundraising event for Angelo's future projects.

• July 29th, 2011: Excels again as concert producer and promoter, presenting international legends "Los Impala" in a "back to the 60's & 70's" dance concert. A HUGE success.

• October 29th, 2011: Again another successful and sold out dance concert, putting together the island's most popular retro music bands. This event has again shown that Edjean can not only be a superb singer, but also a very successful event planner/producer and concert promoter
