Under the inspirations of Built to Spill, Pavement, and Husker Du, the lineup of Ian (vocals/guitar), Steve (bass/vocals), Rowan (guitar), and Tom (drums) formed under the moniker of Econoline in early 2000.
After the release of their self-titled debut EP through Badmusic Records within a couple months after their formation, the London based Infur Records soon followed with the single Breakfast of Champions that same year. ~ Mike DaRonco
