The Danish death metal bandECITON was formed in 2000 by musicians who over the past 12 years had beeninvolved in numerous death metal bands and projects, with the clear intentionto play brutal and uncompromising death metal.

In 2003 the band signed upfor the Danish Melo-Death Grand Prix, which was the biggest competition in Scandinavia

for metal bandswithout recording contract. ECITON placed first in the competition, whichbecame the foundation for the already recorded the CD "Oppressed byContempt "produced and mixed by Lars Schmidt (Konkhra, Furious Trauma). Itwas released in 2005 through the French label Adipocere records under the title"Oppressed".

After a series of line-upchanges, partly because of bassist Soren Maiboes untimely death, ECITON startedto write new material which in 2006 sent them into Ear Plug studio. The Recordingswere abruptly interrupted when the band once again was stroked by bad luck sincedrummer Eskil Frantzen tragically died. Shortly after Jesper Frost (Iniquity) joinedECITON and the final recordings to band's second album took place during2007-2008.

In 2008, a pre-mix of threetracks was made in Hertz studio in Poland by Wojtek andSlawek Wieslawscy (Vader, decapitated, Hate) and later mastered by Jacob Olsenin JBO Sound , Denmark. Jacob Olsendelivered such a good result that ECITON decided to mix the entire album withhim in his recording studio in Aarhus.

From mid-April 2010 ECITON willplay a series of concerts around in Denmark and Europe, where they willpresent the music from "A Scent of Veracity". The album that willtake you to the edge and make you beg for more...
