Country singer Dusty Drake got his start behind a drum kit as a teen before finding his true musical calling as a vocalist and songwriter.
The Pennsylvania native spent time in several bands before making the trek to Nashville to pursue his dream of a career in music. Once there he worked his way through the country music ranks; backup vocals, singing and recording demos, and eventually writing songs that ended up on albums by Joe Diffie, Karen Staley, and Mark Chesnutt. Warner Bros. Records took interest after hearing his songs and released his self-titled debut in 2003. ~ Wade Kergan
