Formed in Dallas, TX, by vocalist Ben Smith, guitarist Kevin Bradford, bassist Miguel Saldana, and drummer Henry Vasquez, the curiously named Archie Bunker managed to record just a single album before the bandmembers went their separate ways.
Released in 1997 by independent Brainticket Records and named Lucky 13 (not so lucky, as it turned out), the LP drew comparisons to bands like Eyehategod and Crowbar for its sludgy, detuned form of heavy metal -- often dubbed the NOLA sound.
