He graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts which groomed him along his artistic journey. When he graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology he wanted to pursue a career in fashion; however, music continued to manifest. In 2004, Dre auditioned for American Idol Season 4, making it to the 3rd round at the DC auditions; however, it wasn't enough for Hollywood. As Dre continued to grow and evolve as an artist he collaborated with various artist throughout the DMV area. He started his lifestyle blog, DreBlackSoFresh back in 2010, and has amassed over 3 million views. In 2017, Dre started his own music

development and publishing company, Motivated Elevation LLC, where he continues to establish himself as a songwriter while developing other artists through artist development, songwriting and publishing, image consulting, and stage performance.
