The music career of DragChrist began in earnest 2004 after he took the New York underground club scene by storm with his debut cut StarFucker (We Are The Club Kids), a storming electro/industrial groove which was released by Pittsburgh indie label Basina USA.
America’s alternative club circuit instantly took the UK’s outlandish DragChrist to their hearts and an exceedingly unconventional recording star had arrived. Subsequent hit singles quickly followed in the wake of StarFucker, like the electro pummeling VixXxen, which served to catapult DragChrist into what could best be described as the mainstream - depending upon your definition? VixXxen scored on the World NRG Charts, Billboard, and countless deejay play-lists across America and Europe. The music video which accompanied VixXxen was broadcast on RockAmerica, and accomplished impressive chart position in VJ charts internationally. The Sound Of Gender Fuck... terminology DragChrist often uses to describe the vibe of his music, continued to come fast and fierce, with DragChrist perpetually building momentum and rubbing shoulders with the avant garde of underground nightlife. The discography of DragChrist gives hint to his trashy sensibilities, with song titles such as, Fur Coat No Knickers, Beautiful Porn, Electric High Heels, Your Ass Is The Bassline, and Mannequin. It doesn’t stop here, with DragChrist once again poised to assault the discotheques with his new album VainGlorious released June 2013 downloadable exclusively on Bandcamp.com. If electronic euro-pop fronted by gender fuck aesthetics wasn’t already a forceful enough prod in the eye, DragChrist recently added author to his list of accomplishments, after the publication of his biography Too Fierce For Earth, a book which holds nothing back and tells the trash, the whole trash and nothing but the trash !!!
