Having gotten together in 1995 while attending Florida State University, Double Deckers originally began as a garage band that featured a set of surf, ska, punk, and funk.
As the years progress along with their revolving lineup, the band would eventually relocate to Boston in 1998. After the self-release of their debut full-length Showtime the following year, Double Deckers progressed to a more mature influence of jazz while sticking to their Jamaican ska roots. ~ Mike DaRonco
